* It is clear that conformal projections (e.g. UTM) are not discrete global grids. It may be relevant to specifically mention this in the document and even point to examples of commonly used UTM projections, such as Landsat standard products (L1T, SR) and Sentinel-2 standard products (L1C, L2A).
* It may be good to mention common DGGS examples and perhaps reference a recent paper (below). For example, Landsat WELD cloud-free mosaics are Albers projection, and some MODIS high-resolution products are sinusoidal projection.  There are likely other examples of common digital datasets used by the community.
* Add the following recent reference:
