[Geopackage] Conversion GeoTIFF to Geopackage

Hi Philipp,

There was a path issue with my installer and the code wasn't picking up the epsg files. You can either edit your ossim-preferences file or get the new build:

Until you get a good projection back from "ossim-info <input-file>" you won't be able to ortho it.

Take care,

Thanks for your responses!

I used unsuccessfully the GDAL releases from the OSGEO4W package (GDAL 1.11.2, released 2015/2/10). Is this v2.0?

Now I tried it with the attached sample-dataset using ossim with the following commands:

ossim-preproc -o --ch <input-geotiff>

ossim-chipper --op ortho --histogram-op auto-minmax --resample-filter
cubic --srs "EPSG:3857" --meters <input> <output.gpkg>

Therewith, I got the following error:
ossimChipperUtil::initializeProjectionTiePoint() tie point has nans!

If I change to "EPSG:31468", it returns another error:
ossimChipperUtil::getSceneCenter(ossimGpt&) range error!
latitude = nan
longitude = nan

Has anybody an idea how it could work?

Hi Philipp,

I think if you get the latest gdal it has support. An alternative, you
can use ossim-chipper:

ossim-chipper --op ortho --srs "EPSG:3857" <input-geotiff> <output.gpkg>

You would need the ossim_plugins/sqlite plugin. This windows installer
has it:

To use, cd to install dir. Source the ossim.bat file to set your
environment. To ossim-geocell is a nice viewer.

On the second question I have no idea.

Take care,
