Hi everyone,
As testing is proceeding in the pilot, we need to populate the interchange
matrix with the clients that are ready to test the services used in the
scenarios (The interchange matrix can be found at
https://sites.google.com/site/geosspilot2/Home/testreports)
At this stage, we need to know which clients are planning to engage in the
testing so that we can add them to the above matrix (hopefully along with
them registering their offerings in the GEOSS registry). Towards that goal,
I¹ve put together a page at
https://sites.google.com/site/geosspilot2/Home/portals-and-application-clien
ts-working-group/portals-and-application-clients that lists the following:
* The primary clients/portals from the CFP response (note that I was ONLY
able to find the ESRI GeoPortal by searching the GEOSS registry. The other
geoportals need to register as well)
* Other clients that have been mentioned to-date (some of them are
registered as gateway services, datasets or dissemination systems but none
as clients)
* Results of searching GEOSS registry for Portal and Website (most of the
clients listed before do NOT appear in this list)
* Results of searching GEOSS registry for Software or Application (again
most of the clients listed before do NOT appear in this list)
If you¹re on any of the lists and are interested in helping us test the
scenarios and the services, please let me know ASAP. We also need to hear
from you if you think you should be added to any of these lists (especially
if you¹re directly supporting one of the community working groups
scenarios).
The plan is to have a teleconference next Wed April 1 at 10:30 EDT to assess
where we are in terms of portal/application availability/readiness for
testing. Details will be sent out to the mailing list with an update based
on responses received by then.
Thanks!
Nadine
